Matahio Energy Appoints Ryan Beierle as New Zealand Country Manager

New Plymouth, New Zealand, 29 January 2025 – Matahio Energy recently announced the appointment of Ryan Beierle as Country Manager for its New Zealand business, succeeding Drew Cadenhead, who will be retiring.

Beierle, 43 brings over 20 years of multinational experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, with a strong track record in production optimisation, operational excellence, and team leadership. His appointment comes after serving as Production Engineering Manager at Matahio Energy where he played a key role in driving production efficiencies and development initiatives.

Prior to joining Matahio, Beierle’s career has been marked by several significant technical and leadership roles in energy companies such as ConocoPhillips, Chevron and TAG Oil, where he consistently demonstrated success in increasing production, improving processes, and reducing costs, while maintaining strong safety and environmental standards. "Ryan's deep technical expertise, proven leadership capabilities, and commitment to operational excellence make him the ideal candidate to lead our New Zealand operations," said Wai-Lid Wong, Matahio Energy’s Chief Executive Officer.
